Matfen Hall Wedding Photography – Sam & Martin
Matfen Hall is a wedding photographer’s dream and the perfect place to host Samantha & Martin’s elegant spring wedding.
Bridal prep in the wedding suite is always something special. The room is stunning, the light from the window is perfect and the atmosphere is always nervous and happy. Martin got ready on the other side of the Hall, with his groomsmen, father, and Cocoa the Dog of Honor. Cocoa was an excellent dog of honor, wearing her pink bandanna with pride, and doing exactly as she was told. Good dog!
Red Roses
Cocoa’s bandanna may have been pink, but the accents for the day were a bright rose red. Bold colours aren’t always the easiest to style, but Sam and Martin did an excellent job, from the bouquet’s, to the bride’s lipstick and shoes, the colour pops were small and subtle, but just right. I’m also a big fan of the bridesmaids’ dresses which were in more muted tones. It also helped that (at the time), the carpets matched in beautifully with the theme too.
Sam and Martin tied the knot in the grand hall, followed by a drinks reception, and a few formal pictures. To be fair, a lot of them weren’t really that formal – just the way I like it! They sat down after some heartfelt speeches to a wonderful meal. Before the evening guests arrived we took the opportunity to take some portraits in the grand hall. We had just enough time before the cake cutting, and then finally the first dance against a lovely backdrop of light up letters of love.
